The HIVEBREW ONE™ creates espresso strength concentrate that is around 5 times ready to drink strength. The concentrate can be used as a low-cost base for all your cold coffee drinks. Makes great Americanos by adding hot water! Use it for Iced coffee by adding ice and cold water.
The brewer requires no power or gas, it’s a controlled gravity flow of water through the coffee bed.
Its Japanese inspired! It uses a multiple Kyoto drip process combined with a Shishi-odoshi rocking water meter. The drip rate is adjustable to allow you to set the brew time from 10 to 40 minutes to create your desired concentration and taste profile.
Typically, a third of a pound of fine ground beans produces 10 fluid ounces of 5:1 concentrate. (6 to 7 TDS Total Dissolved Solids). That’s 5 - 6-ounce cups of iced coffees per brew. About 5 cents of quality coffee per cup.

Why is it so much faster than the typical cold brew process?
The HiveBREW™ Active Extraction process uses a series of refinements such as pre-infusion, perfected water delivery, controlled flow, and more to improve where typical processes fall short in quality and efficiency.
What is Pre-Infusion?
Pre-infusion is the idea that coffee grounds can be "pre-wet" to increase the brew water's ability to more evenly penetrate and saturate the coffee bed to speed things up and produce a more concentrated result.
What is TDS and Ready-to-Drink?
TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids, an industry term referencing the rate at which the brew utilizes the entirety of the grounds. Ready-to-Drink means the product after it has been reduced down to serve as a standard coffee drink. In addition the resulting product can be used at full potency to replace espresso in many cafe style drinks popular at coffee retail cafes and outlets.
